About Mary Wagner

The challenges and rewards of communicating her clients' authentic stories and the ability to play a role in a business' or institution's success is why Mary opened her studio in 2003. She enjoys collaborating with clients from the ground up, creating powerful branding campaigns that align with their vision, culture, commitment, and service. Like the cobbler's barefoot children, Mary has to yet to launch her own advertising campaign. Nevertheless, she has attracted a long list of loyal clients, ranging from high-end creative service firms to non-profit organizations working in education, the arts and the environment.

Mary's green design practice is informed by her training in green chemistry and environmental public policy at Carnegie Mellon University. She works with each client to understand their needs and to design marketing tools that are effective over the long term, while considering where/how each printed piece or tool will ultimately end up. By looking at the life-cycle of materials and "designing backwards," she and her clients are able to merge the goals of effectiveness and sustainability.

In addition to her design work, Mary is creating a green design program for teens that will be piloted in the summer of 2010. She also serves as Development Chair on Project U.S.E.'s Board of Trustees.
